We urgently need you to call and write letters opposing
continued operation of Chemical Waste Management in Porter, NY
Recently, the American Cancer Society reported that it expects 9,500
Western New York residents to be diagnosed with cancer in 2010. It
is unfair to the residents of our community to be the toxic dumping grounds for
39 other states, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Enough is enough.
We urge all citizens to call and write to the Governor and the DEC
Commissioner. We need to stop the toxic hazardous waste
landfilling by CWM now. Pick up the phone and tell New York State Governor David
Paterson at (518) 474-8390 and the DEC Commissioner Peter Grannis at (518)
404-8545 that we will no longer allow our state government officials to continue
to destroy the Niagara Watershed with toxic chemicals. Ask them what they are
doing about all of the health issues currently faced by our residents and the
children of our community caused by the toxics already dumped here.
