Mission
Niagara Watershed Alliance's Mission is to discourage the importation and discharge of hazardous and radioactive
waste within and into the Niagara Region Watershed ecosystem.
Our Goals:
- Work toward ending the importation of additional
hazardous waste into the Niagara Watershed Region.
- Work toward safe removal and destruction of
all hazardous and radioactive waste currently located in the Niagara Region Watershed and the Great Lakes basin.
- Hold public forums that bring informational awareness and education regarding the Niagara's existing environmental
problems.
- Inform the public on the impact hazardous & radioactive waste is having on Niagara's
health, safety, and economic welfare.
- Encourage public participation in seeking responsible & accountable
handling & removal of hazardous and radioactive waste.
- Work with existing environmental and economic
organizations in a coordinated effort to protect, maintain & restore the Niagara region Watershed.
Our legacy is working to protect the fresh waters of the Great Lakes
for
our children and our grandchildren.
